BEAT CHARLIE BERTUS!

Huntsville's Charlie Bertus landed the current Lake Guntersville largemouth
record on Feb. 21, 1990. The fish weighed 14 pounds, 8 ounces,
and measured 24.8 inches in length, and 22 inches in girth.
Alabama State Record:
(16 lb, 8 oz) was caught in Mountain View Lake, Shelby County, in 1987

Freshwater and Saltwater Fishing License Information:
Fishing License Requirements:
- Resident: Fishing licenses are required for residents ages 16-64 who
fish with rod and reel or artificial bait or fish outside county of
residence.
Residents 65 or older must have proof of permanent Alabama residence
and age (driver's license).
Residents may fish in saltwater from a licensed public fishing pier
in the inside waters without purchasing a fishing license.
- Non-Resident: Fishing licenses are required for non-residents ages
16 and older.

16 and 65 years of age and non-residents 16 years of age and older.
